About the Producer

For many years Judy Beardsall has nurtured her passion for wine in several ways—from working with New York's top wine merchant to developing world-class wine portfolios for a high-profile international clientele to lecturing world-wide, to writing a best-selling iconaclastic wine book, Sniffing the Cork.

One element of her dream remained unfulfilled—until now. Judy has finally achieved her ultimate ambition and has created a new wine, Ananda di Toscana, in her beloved Tuscany. She has joined forces with one of Italy's foremost winemakers—Alberto Antonini—who previously was the director of Oenology for the Marchese Piero Antinori where he was responsible for making Tignanello and Solia.

In her career as a wine consultant and internationally respected wine broker, Judy has forged a niche in the high stakes world of fine wine.

Her specialty has been creating investment portfolios and drinking cellars of the world's finest and rarest wines for a clientele of discreet and discerning collectors.

When her passion for wine brought her to Italy, she began to advise her private clients to stock their cellars with its vinous treasures, always tasting and selecting the wines herself as she had done with Bordeaux and Burgundy.

With her love of and expertise in the great classic wines of France, combined with her excitement in the face of the great potential of Italian wine, she chose to follow her bliss to the vineyards of Tuscany, and thus Ananda was born.
